“Oh, I was on fire. And I had no weapons, nothing on me, and I was just ready to go”

Seattle woman catches peeping Tom looking in her window

SEATTLE — A Seattle woman who says she was the victim of a peeping Tom is now warning others to be on the lookout. Jamie Kelley said the peeping happened at her Phinney Ridge home while she was getting ready for bed on Tuesday. She’s angry and feels violated, and she doesn’t want anyone else in her neighborhood to be victimized.

“It was a guy, you could tell it was a guy,” kelley said of the peeper she caught watching her through her bedroom window. “He had a bandana on that was covering his entire head like a pirate, pulled back, tied here all the way.”

Before calling 911, Kelley chased after the peeper.

“Oh, I was on fire. And I had no weapons, nothing on me, and I was just ready to go,” she said. “I chased him to the top of the corner there at the end of the street.”

When she didn’t catch the man, Kelley filed a report with the police. Police have yet to nab the man, and Kelley’s warning others to be on the lookout in Phinney Ridge.

Her husband said the peeper is the one who should be worried.

“I would tell him to watch out, because my wife is out there and I don’t know what she’s going to do next,” he said.

For her part, Kelley said the peeper looked into the wrong window.

“I’m on fire I,” she said. “I’m pissed. I’m more pissed than violated. I feel violated, but I am pissed.”

The peeper is described as a white man in his 40s or early 50s who stands 5’9″ to 6 feet tall and weighs roughly 180 to 190 pounds. He has a very thin face and a gray beard. On Tuesday night, he was wearing a dark patterned bandana around his head.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the police.
