[VIDEO] Russians March against Putin

For NRO, Robert Zubrin writes: On March 15, there were two demonstrations in Moscow, one for and one against Russian intervention in Ukraine. A friend of mine in Russia sent me a link to an amateur video taken of both marches. Here it is:

The first half of the video shows the “March for Peace,” opposing intervention. The banner leading the march reads “Hands off Ukraine”; another banner further back reads “bring the Russian forces home.” The demonstrators are chanting “Russia without Putin!” In addition to Ukrainian and Russian flags, the protesters carry flags reading “Solidarity” and “Party of Progress.” A rough estimate would place the size of the demonstration at about 50,000 people.

Well, I’ll be darned. At least they have the right to protest…whatever it is!!!

Wow…. no radicals with kerchiefs hiding their faces, burning cop cars or breaking windows….. seems quite civilized, compared to what we have seen during protests in Canada and the USA.

Does anyone have any idea of what the different colored flags mean? I see some yellow and blue ones, orange ones with a symbol of something on it….and others…..

  3. Scared stiff of losing out on free travel and open employment round Europe what do you expect?
The price of “freedom” will be heavy for the country though with EU austerity cutbacks, money and savings grabs, massive national debt, unemployment, stupid rules and regulations, and that’s just the good points.

So protest away, it’s your right to. Just don’t come to the UK looking for work. The Romanians, Poles, Czechs, and half a dozen other migrant worker nationalities have already pinched them all.
