[VIDEO] Late Night Music Workshop: Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen Deconstructs ‘PEG’

aja“Aja” was a great album, wasn’t it? Everyone’s got their own memories associated with it — I won’t bore you with mine, but I have a lot of affection for the song “Peg”, and a lot of respect for the artistry of the whole album — like all great pop-rock albums, they become embedded in our memories, the soundtracks of our wasted youth. Released during a time when Steely Dan was at the peak of their craft, Aja was probably Steely Dan’s last fully-developed album before they disbanded. Deacon Blues, too, is a great song, great lyrics.
