Busted for Sex with Student and Sending Nude Pics, Connecticut High School Teacher Danielle Watkins Not Looking Happy in Police Photo

A Connecticut English teacher turned herself in Thursday on allegations that she had sex with and sent naked pictures of herself to one of her students at Stamford High School.

Danielle Watkins, a 32-year-old English teacher at Stamford High School, turned herself in Thursday on charges that she had sex with one of her students numerous times throughout the school year, sent him naked pictures of herself and gave him marijuana. She allegedly threatened to fail the student when he tried to put an end to their sexual encounters. Watkins has an unlisted phone number, attempts to reach her Friday morning were not successful.

Who’s Up for Another Teacher Sex Scandal? For the NY Daily News, Michael Walsh reports: Danielle Watkins, 32, of Norwalk, allegedly had sex with the 18-year-old male numerous times in her car during school hours, off school property from September 2013 until June 2014, according to the Stamford Police Department.

Police say they recovered 2,000 text messages, including nude photos sent to the teen’s phone.

At one point the victim tried to end the sexual encounters but Watkins attacked him and accused him of being with someone else, he said.

Watkins allegedly threatened to fail the student if they did not continue having sex so he waited until the school year ended in late June before telling a counselor about the predicament.

The counselor, in turn, alerted the Connecticut Department of Children and Families and the Board of Education.

The student also claimed Watkins supplied him and a 15-year-old friend with marijuana — which they would smoke on and off of school grounds — and let him drive her car while knowing he did not have a license…(read more)

(AP) STAMFORD, Conn. –  A Stamford High School English teacher is accused of threatening to fail a student if he broke off their sexual relationship.

Danielle Watkins of Norwalk turned herself in to police Thursday. She is charged with sexual assault, sale of marijuana and risk of injury to a minor.

Police say the 18-year-old student came to them in June and described how the 32-year-old teacher had provided him with drugs and sex since last September. Police say she also gave marijuana to a 15-year-old.

Police say they recovered 2,000 text messages, including nude photos sent to the teen’s phone.

Watkins posted $100,000 bond and is due in state Superior Court in Stamford on July 31. She has an unlisted phone number and attempts to reach her Friday morning were not successful.
