For Breitbart.com, Robert Wilde reports: Although former IRS official Lois Lerner refuses to speak, pleading the fifth amendment, her attorney spoke on her behalf regarding the controversy over two years of missing IRS emails.
“It’s a little brazen to think she did this on purpose.”
— Lois Lerner’s attorney, William Taylor III
William Taylor III said that accusations by Republicans that she is hiding something is “silly… she doesn’t know what happened… It’s a little brazen to think she did this on purpose.”
The IRS and Democrats contend that the emails were lost due to a hard drive crash. Yet, as Politico reported, it so happens that the computer glitch was concomitant with the 2009 time period in which Cincinnati IRS agents started delaying the approvals of Tea Party groups vying for 501(c)(4) non-profit status. Notably, the not-for- profit designation would have allowed the conservative groups the capacity to carry out a limited amount of political activity. Read the rest of this entry »
For Breitbart.com, Mary Chastain reports: It is all about sex. First there was speculation that the Netherlands beat Spain because the coach allowed players to visit with wives and girlfriends. Why did Chile beat Spain? A porn star offered a sex marathon for every win. (The picture in the link is NSFW)
Marlen Doll, one of Chile’s most popular porn stars, told people she would engage in an eight-hour sex marathon if the team beat Australia. They won and she conducted a twelve-hour orgy…(read more)
In his memoir called “The Audacity of Hope,” Obama wrote sneeringly…
“As disturbed as I might have been by Ronald Reagan’s election in 1980, as unconvinced as I might have been of his John Wayne, Father Knows Best pose, his policy by anecdote, and his gratuitous assaults on the poor, I understood his appeal.”
“It was the same appeal that the military bases back in Hawaii always held for me as a boy, with their tidy streets and well-oiled machinery, the crisp uniforms and crisper salutes.”
To Renegade, Rawhide was nothing more than a John Wayne pose. The United States military a quaint little sanctuary for cowardly weenies afraid of disorder and untidiness. Our American might and uniform to him are nothing more than a well-played basketball game from which he returns home momentarily happy or sad that his team won or lost.
Sneer all you want…But never forget this…you and your silly “choom gang” have not the faintest clue the principle and sacrifice most in the military and their families lay out every day….(read more)
For Breitbart.com, Patrick Kane reports: On Thursday in a joint press release with The Metroplex Republicans, officials from The Log Cabin Republicans addressed being denied a booth at the Texas GOP Convention. Executive Director of the Log Cabin Republicans, Gregory T. Angelo, told Breitbart Texas that his “blood is boiling” over being denied a spot for representing gay Republicans.
“I would guess that most Republicans wouldn’t even know that language exists in the platform, let alone support it.”
— Gregory T. Angelo
According to Angelo, both the Log Cabin Republicans and the Metroplex Republicans applied for spaces at the upcoming June convention. “The Log Cabin Republicans were denied a space outright”, said Angelo. “But the Metroplex Republicans were granted an exhibitor space.” This space however, would be revoked once convention organizers learned that the group represented both straight and gay Republicans. For Breitbart.com, Robert Wilde reports: The White House has 132 rooms, 32 bathrooms, 6 levels, 412 doors, 147 windows, 28 fireplaces, 7 staircases, and 3 elevators. What’s more, there is now an arrangement of solar panels resting on its roof that is generating almost 44 kilowatt hours of electricity a day.
According to the Climate Change Dispatch, the not-so-monumental outflow of solar energy accounts for enough juice to power 22 100-watt light bulbs for 20 hours each day. Ironically, if you have ever viewed just one corridor in the White House, you know they would still need to add a few AAAs to keep the bulbs glowing.
As you may have suspected, Obama is doing all of this to set a good example for all American families and businesses to reduce our need to use fossil fuels, cut carbon emissions, and save the planet from global warming. Read the rest of this entry »
Williams said that his wife “went to the gas station” this past weekend to fuel her car. He said that “while she’s trying to put the credit card in some guy rushes by her, gets in the car and drives off with the damn car.” Read the rest of this entry »
According to the poll, when asked, “Do you think you would feel more safe or less safe with a gun in your house?”, respondents said “more safe” by a margin of 42 to 20 percent.
Broken down by gender, 51 percent of males said “more safe” versus 15 percent who said less safe; 33 percent of females said “more safe” versus 25 percent who said “less safe.” Read the rest of this entry »
My only complaint about Breitbart.com‘s fixation with Politico.com‘s news coverage is its assumption that anyone thinks Politico is relevant in the first place. A search in Breitbart.com’s site reveals 9,240 references to Politico. 9,240, really?
Breitbart.com‘s Warner Todd Huston writes: The world of political news was captivated by Thursday’s report of the arrest for gun trafficking of a famously anti-gun California state senator. Yet while most other news outlets reported the incident, Politico, an outlet that supposedly leads the nation in political news, didn’t post a single story on the incident the day the news broke.
“The story is quite a shocking one, too. During an investigation, Yee is accused of telling an undercover FBI agent that he would spend as much as $2.5 million on automatic, “shoulder-fired” weapons…”
California State Senator Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) made a name for himself by becoming one of the most virulently anti-gun legislators in a state filled with anti-gun legislators. On March 27, news broke that Yee had been arrested for corruption the day before. He wasn’t just arrested for run-of-the-mill corruption, either. He was arrested under charges of attempting to actually supply guns to local gangs.
Now, one would think that this would be big, big political news… Read the rest of this entry »
SEATTLE- Seahawks blowout update: Breitbart.com has a few more Twitter photos. Here’s just a few. Note: The report, and headline, is overstated. Seattle didn’t dissolve into violence and chaos, the city had relatively minor disruption, few arrests, negligible property damage, considering it’s Seattle’s first Super Bowl win, ever, the festivities were well contained. Breitbart News reports:
After the Seattle Seahawks won their first Super Bowl in franchise history on Sunday, fans in Seattle jumped on cars, took over intersections, torched couches, and riot police had to be brought in to restore order.
Here are some images of the “celebrations” from Twitter:
