‘People Are Wondering How Harvey Can Live with Himself … The Answer is … a Lot of Drugs’
Posted: November 3, 2017 Filed under: Entertainment, Mediasphere, U.S. News | Tags: drugs, Harvey Weinstein, Hollywood, Medication, sexual harassment, Show Business 1 Comment” …people are wondering how Harvey can live with himself after all he’s done — the years of sexually predatory behavior. The answer is: with the help of a lot of drugs.”
Emily Smith writes: Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was spotted aboard a commercial flight in first class with a huge haul of prescription drugs.
As revealed exclusively on “Page Six TV” Thursday, Weinstein was photographed opening a sturdy silver case filled with an astonishing amount of prescription pill bottles and medications as he sat in first class on a plane at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in December last year before his sexual harassment scandal broke — in full view of other passengers and the flight crew.
The source, who gave the picture exclusively to Page Six, said, “Many people are wondering how Harvey can live with himself after all he’s done — the years of sexually predatory behavior. The answer is: with the help of a lot of drugs.”
The source said that when another passenger on the plane who recognized Weinstein asked about his impressive pharmaceutical stash, Weinstein explained, “Oh, I’ve got a cold.”
A different source familiar with Weinstein over the years told us, “He always had that briefcase of drugs. He carries his whole medicine cabinet with him — even stuff he isn’t taking at the time.” Read the rest of this entry »

Michael Rothmans reports: Bill Cosby arrived in court today after he was charged with alleged aggravated indecent assault earlier this morning by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office in Pennsylvania.
After court, Cosby headed to the Cheltenham Police Department, where his mugshot was taken and he was processed.
The comedian, 78, entered the courtroom in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, around 2:30 p.m., walking arm-in-arm with his legal team. He will next appear in court on Jan. 14 and his bail was set at $1 million for the second-degree felony counts against him.
“We examined all the evidence and we made this determination because it was the right thing to do.”
— First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele
Cosby’s passport was also turned over to the court and he did not enter a plea.
The famed comedian has always maintained his innocence since being accused more than 10 years ago by former Temple University employee Andrea Constand of sexual assault. With that case about to reach the statute of limitations next month, First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele said his office had decided to proceed with the second-degree felony charge. 50-year-old Man Accused of Beating Up His Own Uncle Over $3 Pot in Card Game
Posted: June 10, 2015 Filed under: Crime & Corruption | Tags: Arraignment, Cannabis, Complaint, Disorderly conduct, drugs, Gambling, Poker, Port Washington, Waterford, Wisconsin 2 CommentsKatie DeLong reports: A 50-year-old Waterford man is accused of beating up his own uncle over a $3 pot during a card game called “(Expletive) On Your Neighbor.”
Back on January 10th, officials responded to the 29000 block of Elm Island Drive in Waterford for a report of an assault.
There, officials spoke with a 69-year-old man who advised he was playing cards when his nephew, Scott Labisch attacked him — kicking him in the ribs multiple times. An officer observed small cuts above the man’s right eye, and the man said his nose bled as a result of the attack.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment. There, he was diagnosed with non-displaced fractures to the three ribs, according to the criminal complaint.
Officials spoke with another man who indicated people were at his home playing cards when Labisch “beat up” his uncle over approximately $3 that was in the pot during the game. Another person confirmed the assault. Read the rest of this entry »

“I couldn’t even really tell you what a liberal is… Are we promoting a movie?”
Video of the encounter was posted on Twitter by Guru-Murthy, who describes the end of the interview as “a steely moment from Ironman.”
“I’m sorry, I, I really don’t — what are we doing? …It’s just getting a little Diane Sawyer in here.”
Things became uncomfortable after the reporter connected the actor’s real-life persona with that of his Iron Man character, Tony Stark. Guru-Murthy then quizzed Downey about a quote from an old New York Times interview. Read the rest of this entry »

“I just got back from China, and I’m SO high…I have no idea where I am. What parking lot is this?”
“Hotpot, noodles and lobsters are the most common dishes to get this treatment…215 restaurants in Guizhou province were shut down for spiking their food with opiates.”
For China Real Time, Richard Silk reports: Chinese consumers are used to food safety scandals, from toxic heavy metals in their rice to cooking oil scraped up from the gutter. After those outrages, they might be grateful for some good old-fashioned painkillers in their soup.
“Last month a noodle shop owner in Shaanxi province admitted dosing his dishes with poppy buds after a customer tested positive on a drug test.”
The website of Xinhua, the Chinese government’s official information agency, reported Thursday that restaurants around the country are routinely spiking their dishes with poppy shells, which contain opiates like morphine and codeine, to keep customers coming back.
Hotpot, noodles and lobsters are the most common dishes to get this treatment, Xinhua said. The tactic isn’t new – 215 restaurants in Guizhou province were shut down for spiking their food with opiates way back in 2004 – but has been receiving increasing media coverage as multiple incidents have come to light. We took the headline as is, without noticing the first word in the headline “Stake”, makes no sense. Yes, we missed it.
Here at punditfromanotherplanet, were pretty sure the CBS headline for this story was supposed to be ‘State“. Looks like someone on the night shift besides me let it slip right through. Catch it while it’s still there. I imagine it’ll be corrected by morning. In case it’s disappeared down the bunny hole, here’s a screen cap:

Drug dealer crushed to death by his own stash
Posted: October 4, 2013 Filed under: Crime & Corruption | Tags: Brazil, Daily Mail, drugs, Federal Highway Police, Marijuana 1 CommentYesterday a man was cruising along the freeway in Brazil, transporting a half-ton of weed, when the police jumped on his trail. According to the Daily Mail, the drug dealer somehow managed to notice over the mountain of marijuana in his backseat that the Federal Highway Police were chasing him.
In the midst of the 3-mile high speed chase, he lost control of the car and crashed into a tree, causing the 1,100 pounds of weed to fly forward and crush him, killing him instantly.
Add this awful accident to the list of reasons not to deal drugs, besides that whole “you could spend your life in prison” thing.
