Copenhagen police said they were searching for a suspect who shot through the windows of the Krudttoenden cafe, where Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks and the French ambassador to Denmark were among those attending an event hosted by the Lars Vilks committee.

Initially, the authorities had said they were looking for two shooters.
Police said the motive for the shooting remained unclear but it was possible that Mr. Vilks was the target of the attack. Mr. Vilks was unhurt, according to Danish police. The cartoonist is known for having drawn caricatures of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad.

She said police were on full alert across the country and all resources had been deployed to catch the perpetrator.

Viewers say they’ve seen heavy police activity in the area of Fred Wilson Avenue and Alabama Street, and all traffic has come to a stop.
A spokesperson for WBAMC said the commander instructed officials to place the medical center on lockdown because of an active shooter at the VA clinic.

The shaky scaffolding, which is suspended around the 50th floor, was seen dangling at an unstable angle, according to images that surfaced of the scene.
The terrifying incident began about 12:45 p.m. on the south side of the building, according to CBS New York.

FBI spokesman Christos Sinos said Tuesday that preliminary tests show the syringe did not contain any deadly pathogens. It’s not known what was in the syringe, but Sinos says the tests are “negative for any bad stuff.”
