Trey Gowdy Frustrated by Dem Stonewalling

Trey-Gowdy-works-late

Ryan Lovelace reports: Two top Clinton aides, Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan, will appear before the House Select Committee on Benghazi next month, but when will the committee interview several other top Obama administration officials and Clinton allies?

“What can I do to make the Department of State produce Jake Sullivan’s emails to me? I’ve asked. I’ve sent a subpoena. I don’t know what else I can do. I can’t send the FBI to get him.”

House Benghazi Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., described how the committee intends to finish its work before the calendar year 2015 ends, in an exclusive interview with the Washington Examiner.

“I have a freshman in college who could go pull up all of her emails and have them printed off by this afternoon. I don’t know what takes so long, but it’s been months and months and months. And we still don’t have all the documents we’ve asked for.”

Gowdy discussed his desire to interview key Obama and Clinton operatives, including former State Department deputy chief of staff Huma Abedin, State Department undersecretary for management Patrick Kennedy, and State Department chief of staff Jon Finer. He also indicated his frustration at the lack of information former State Department policy planning director Jake Sullivan has produced.

Sullivan now serves as a top foreign policy adviser to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Abedin is a top aide and confidant of Clinton, and Kennedy and Finer remain at the State Department.

Gowdy said he wants all of the documents relating to these individuals before interviewing them, but continues to face an uphill battle. Read the rest of this entry »

Meet 19-year-old Dallas Archer, The Teen Arrested With a Loaded Gun In Her Vagina

n-DALLAS-ARCHER-largeAndres Jauregui reports: Cops say a Tennessee teen who got arrested for driving with a suspended license on Monday had a surprise in store for police.

When a female corrections officer at Kingsport jail performed a search on 19-year-old Dallas Archer, she allegedly discovered an “unknown object” lodged in the young woman’s crotch. She alerted another female officer, who accompanied her during a further examination, according to documents obtained by the Smoking Gun.

The officers allegedly discovered a loaded, five-shot, four-inch .22 caliber mini-revolver concealed in Archer’s vagina. Read the rest of this entry »

[VIDEO] Curiously, CNN Reporter Appears High on Weed During Segment on What? Where Were We? Oh yeah. Marijuana

From Hot AirAllahpundit again…

Via Gawker, if you can’t watch the whole thing, skip to 4:00 to see why last night Anderson Cooper called this the greatest live hit the show’s ever done. My favorite moment is that big, bright, glassy-eyed smile at 5:15. (Second-favorite: The thoughtful explanation of the difference between sativa and indica.) The question here isn’t whether she’s high — the symptoms she describes are familiar even to non-users (losing her train of thought, finding things unusually funny, etc) — but whether she could have gotten this giggly from a contact high, i.e. from second-hand smoke without taking a hit herself. Answer: Yes, if she was around lots and lots of it. A single joint won’t do much to a bystander; 16 joints might. According to Kaye, she was riding around in the close confines of a limo all day with veteran potheads smoking blunts as big as cannons. Contact-high verdict: Plausible.

Hacker leaks former presidential doodles

imagesDrawings hacked and leaked from the Clinton Presidential Library late Wednesday suggest the 42nd president should stick to the sax.

The hacker known as “Guccifer” – who gained notoriety for publicly releasing the paintings of former President George W. Bush – found the ‘90s-era presidential doodles in a file labeled with Clinton’s initials.

Gawker was the first to publish “wjcdoodles,” which include the Stars and Stripes, presidential limo, a chicken wing and one particularly long-nosed dragon.

Check out all the leaked doodles here.

VIDEO: Louis C.K. on smartphones: Kids shouldn’t have them and life is sad

Last night Louis C.K. spent an hour talking to his old boss, Conan O’Brien. They relived the old days a bit—including the time C.K. attempted, disastrously, at an after party, to flirt with Gwyneth Paltrow. And C.K. also explained the reason he doesn’t want his daughters to have smartphones. His reasoning is impressively existential, even for him—and harkens back a bit to the “everything’s amazing and nobody’s happy” routine that helped break his career wide open. As Neetzan Zimmerman at Gawker notes, that nearly five-year-old riff was also shared on a Conan O’Brien show, albeit one on NBC.

His case against smartphones also includes dueling Springsteen impressions by him and Conan. The whole thing is worth watching. (VIDEO)
