[VIDEO] Grassroots Activists Push Black Lives Matter Thugs Off Of Michigan Ave

A citizen journalist from Rebel Pundit filmed the real fight in the street during the Black Friday demonstrations in Chicago. Looks like trouble in paradise when BLM gets push back from grassroots black activists. This is what was reported thanks to brave citizen journalists:

At the outset of the march, grassroots protesters commonly associated with the group Voices of the Ex-Offenders (V.O.T.E.) led the march north on Michigan Avenue and away from Jesse Jackson and his media entourage. The majority of viewers observing the events on television were unaware of how the march began as cameras and reporters remained trained on Jackson.

In doing so, media failed to capture the true tenor of the Black Friday march, including marked disunity among the groups represented that day, professional operatives attempting to stop our filming of the hostility toward Black Lives Matter activists by grassroots activists, and Black Youth Project 100 protesters inciting violence even as they chanted “peace,” as seen in our footage….(read more)

Reddit Revolt: ‘AMA’ Moderator Sacked the Day After a Disastrous Jesse Jackson Q&A

jackson-reddit

Reddit is in Meltdown

Allum Bokhara writes: The hugely popular link-sharing site is in a state of virtual lockdown after the volunteers who run some of the site’s biggest communities (known as “subreddits”) went on the digital equivalent of a general strike. This followed the sacking of Victoria Taylor, a popular site admin, after a Reddit Q&A with the Rev. Jesse Jackson went badly for the activist preacher.

“The collective shutdown has rendered Reddit virtually unusable. In the space of a single evening, over 100 subreddits with tens of millions of subscribers have gone dark.”

High-traffic subreddits dedicated to movies, gaming, videos, history, science and art have been voluntarily locked by their moderators as an act of protest against the decision, which they saw as a symptom of an increasingly overbearing management that takes its users and volunteer moderators for granted.

“It’s another blow for interim Reddit CEO Ellen Pao, with users dubbing her ‘Chairman Pao’ ever since the June crackdown.”

The collective shutdown has rendered Reddit virtually unusable. In the space of a single evening, over 100 subreddits with tens of millions of subscribers have gone dark. Users are now flocking to Reddit’s competitors, such as Frizbee and Voat, the latter of which is struggling to accommodate its latest spike in traffic.

This is not the first time Reddit has seen a revolt against its management. Around mid-June, users waged a week-long rebellion against the site management after Reddit shut down a number of “politically incorrect” subreddits. But this is the first time that so many big moderators have simultaneously shut down their subreddits.

It’s another blow for interim Reddit CEO Ellen Pao, with users dubbing her “Chairman Pao” ever since the June crackdown.

The current revolt was triggered by the sacking of Victoria Taylor, a veteran administrator on the site who specialized in arranging high-profile Reddit Q&As, known as “Ask Me Anything” or “AMA” sessions. Ask Me Anythings are probably Reddit’s best-known feature and are known for featuring world-famous guests including Barack Obama, Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Julian Assange. The Myth Of White Privilege

image9-300x200For the Houston Chronicle writes:

Years ago I started reading about the critical race theory and post traumatic slave syndrome. Now we are hearing more about the theory of ‘white privilege.” Simply put, white privilege is the belief that by just being white you are given privilege not given to blacks, and that blacks suffer from the legacy of slavery and pre civil rights, even those that were born well after slavery was history, and and civil rights were passed.

Let’s be clear about one thing. I know racism still exists. I don’t deny the reality of ‘driving while black” or a store clerk following around a black person, but not a white person, or people like Mark Cuban and Jesse Jackson saying they fear black kids on dark streets late at night. I don’t deny that blacks are arrested in greater numbers than whites for the same crimes. I don’t deny the injustice in the criminal justice system. I don’t deny the inequity in black inner city schools compared to majority white schools. All these things are real and disturbingly unfair. But I contend they are not the result of ‘white privilege.’image5-300x199-1

White privilege, along with the critical race theory and post traumatic slave syndrome, are liberal false theories and ideologies designed to ignore the real reasons for failings in the inner city black community. Liberals and liberal academia cannot face, nor acknowledge, that the true reason for these failings lie in decades of Democrat liberal policies. They can’t acknowledge that government dependency, welfare, food stamps, and a host of other government programs that were supposed to help the black community, actually proved to have the opposite effect. They can’t acknowledge this because they were the architect of these policies.

image8-300x230Let’s go back in time to Harlem in the 1950′s. Make no mistake, there was unrelenting racial injustices, discrimination, and unfair treatment, but if you look at Harlem solely within the black community itself, Harlem was a bustling part of New York where black owned businesses thrived, iconic music was born, and 90 percent of black babies were born into intact families. There were problems to be sure, but not nearly the gang related problems of today in the inner city with unemployment, drugs, single parenting, incarceration, and despair. There also wasn’t government dependency. Read the rest of this entry »

Why are Liberals Afraid of Black Conservatives?

fd_s640x427

Good article here, recommended by a reader, Tim Shey. Go here for the full article, in Washington Times Communities. Here’s an introduction:

headshot1_s120x120Wayne Dupree writes:  Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman are heros. Their strength and conviction to free blacks from slavery are a testament to what happens when individuals think more of their community than themselves and are willing to risk everything for a cause greater than themselves.

In comparison, modern black “leaders” like Jesse Jackson Jr. and Al Sharpton are tiny and self-serving. They don’t serve black Americans or champion freedom and liberty for all. They champion liberal politics and ideology, and that’s odd; liberals want to see blacks tucked neatly into the roles of their design.

Liberals can’t abide a black person who leaves the black plantation of poverty and handouts to stand on his own two feet; they treat with contempt a black man who turns his back on their free money to work hard to make a good life for himself and his family. How dare these dissidents show the black community what they can do with their lives if they walk away from poverty and work to better themselves?

Too many liberals think they have the black race all sewed up, and it just paralyzes them to hear of black conservatives.

The ‘Racism’ Wrecking Ball

Indiscriminate charges of racism do more harm than good, as Martin Luther King well knew

John Fund  writes:  Would America be better off if the Outrage Industry went on a diet for New Year’s?

We just spent much of December quacking and arguing way too much about the views of Phil Robertson, one of the stars of the Duck Dynasty reality-TV series. Most of the attention focused on Robertson’s harsh, mean-spirited comments about gays and on the subsequent, short-lived decision of the cable network A&E to suspend him. But people saved plenty of ire for his comments, offered in an interview with GQ magazine, that when he grew up in Louisiana in the 1950s he never saw “the mistreatment of any black person” and that African Americans in that era didn’t have complaints about white people.

That’s an invitation to call Phil naïve, blind, or a liar. But such descriptions weren’t enough for Jesse Jackson, who said: “These statements uttered by Robertson are more offensive than the bus driver in Montgomery, Alabama, more than 59 years ago. At least the bus driver, who ordered Rosa Parks to surrender her seat to a white person, was following state law. Robertson’s statements were uttered freely and openly without cover of the law, within a context of what he seemed to believe was ‘white privilege.’” He wasn’t the only prominent liberal to go way over the top. MSNBC’s Michael Eric Dyson said Robertson and Duck Dynasty were “part of a majority-white supremacist culture.” Read the rest of this entry »

Pro-Civilization: Lou Reed’s Stand for Israel and against Anti-Semitism

ReedTom Gross writes:  Perhaps even more than other American-Jewish rock stars such as Billy Joel and Bob Dylan, Lou Reed was fiercely proud of being Jewish — and included lyrics on behalf of Israel and against anti-Semitism in some of his songs.

I mention Reed’s Jewishness because not a single obituary I have read of him in the mainstream press mentions it, when for Reed it was an important factor.

Reed, who died yesterday of liver failure at the age of 71, was born Lewis Allan Reed to a Jewish family in Brooklyn. He said that while “he had no god apart from rock ‘n’ roll” his Jewish roots and standing up for Israel meant a lot to him. He was a frequent visitor to the country, last performing in Tel Aviv in 2008, and his aunt and many cousins live in Haifa and other Israeli towns.

Reed even had an Israeli spider named after him to thank him for his support for the country. Read the rest of this entry »

The Bad Fruits of Race Hustling

Welcome to the Al-Sharptonization of the Democratic Party

Welcome to the Al-Sharptonization of the Democratic Party

Young minorities have been taught to believe the system is against them.

Thomas Sowell writes:  Years ago, someone said that according to the laws of aerodynamics bumblebees cannot fly. But the bumblebees, not knowing the laws of aerodynamics, go ahead and fly anyway.

Something like that happens among people. There have been many ponderous academic writings and dour editorials in the mainstream media, lamenting that most people born poor cannot rise in American society any more. Meanwhile, many poor immigrants arrive here from various parts of Asia and rise on up the ladder anyway. Read the rest of this entry »

RFK Jr.: Sharpton a Buffoon, ‘Has Done More Damage to the Black Cause Than George Wallace’

rfkwallacesharpton

RFK Jr. also kept notes for his journal during his month-long stint in a Puerto Rican prison that July. He, the Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson’s wife, Jacqueline, were charged with trespassing during protests on Vieques, the Puerto Rican island the US Navy used as a bombing range.

The Revs. Jackson and Sharpton “give me the creeps,” Kennedy writes in a July 5 entry.

“Al Sharpton has done more damage to the black cause than [segregationist Alabama Gov.] George Wallace. He has suffocated the decent black leaders in New York,” he says. “His transparent venal blackmail and extortion schemes taint all black leadership.”

Rev. Al Sharpton gave Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “the creeps,” he wrote in his diary. Read the rest of this entry »

The silence of the race hustlers

Posted By Todd Starnes

The Daily Caller » The silence of the race hustlers

This horrific video shows a 13-year-old white boy in Gulfport, Florida being savagely beaten by three black classmates. They threw dozens of punches and when the boy tried to crawl underneath a seat, they unleashed a flurry of kicks and stomps.

Not a single person on board the bus tried to stop the brutal rampage as the trio of thugs broke the boy’s arm.

The school bus driver can be heard frantically calling a radio dispatcher for assistance as the boy screamed in pain and agony.

“No, you’ve got to send somebody here quick, quick, quick,” driver John Moody said. “They about to beat this boy to death over here.”

And yet, the driver did not intervene.
