Umm Muhammad Shamasne, whose son Muhammad was killed while perpetrating a terror attack on a bus in Jerusalem on October 12, was recently interviewed in her home by the Lebanese Al-Quds TV channel. Offering the interviewer candy to celebrate her son’s martyrdom, Umm Muhammad Shamasne said that she hoped her other sons would follow in his footsteps, and pulled out a knife, threatening: “My deeds will speak louder than words.” The interview aired on October 22, 2015.

No Biggie For Bambi: Key Sanctions Relief Provision of Iran Deal Violates Federal Law

Obama-shrug

Inconveniently, Sanctions Relief Provision Conflicts with Federal Statutes that were Signed into Law by President Obama.

Some senior U.S. officials involved in the implementation of the Iran nuclear deal have privately concluded that a key sanctions relief provision – a concession to Iran that will open the doors to tens of billions of dollars in U.S.-backed commerce with the Islamic regime – conflicts with existing federal statutes and cannot be implemented without violating those laws, Fox News has learned.

“What’s more, ITRA contains language, in Section 605, requiring that the terms spelled out in Section 218 shall remain in effect until the president of the United States certifies two things to Congress: first, that Iran has been removed from the State Department’s list of nations that sponsor terrorism, and second, that Iran has ceased the pursuit, acquisition, and development of weapons of mass destruction.”

At issue is a passage tucked away in ancillary paperwork attached to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA, as the Iran nuclear deal is formally known. Specifically, Section 5.1.2 of Annex II provides that in exchange for Iranian compliance with the terms of the deal, the U.S. “shall…license non-U.S. entities that are owned or controlled by a U.S. person to engage in activities with Iran that are consistent with this JCPOA.”

iran-illegal

In short, this means that foreign subsidiaries of U.S. parent companies will, under certain conditions, be allowed to do business with Iran. The problem is that the Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act (ITRA), signed into law by President Obama in August 2012, was explicit in closing the so-called “foreign sub” loophole.

“Additional executive orders and statutes signed by President Obama, such as the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, have reaffirmed that all prior federal statutes relating to sanctions on Iran shall remain in full effect.”

Indeed, ITRA also stipulated, in Section 218, that when it comes to doing business with Iran, foreign subsidiaries of U.S. parent firms shall in all cases be treated exactly the same as U.S. firms: namely, what is prohibited for U.S. parent firms has to be prohibited for foreign subsidiaries, and what is allowed for foreign subsidiaries has to be allowed for U.S. parent firms.

What’s more, ITRA contains language, in Section 605, requiring that the terms spelled out in Section 218 shall remain in effect until the president of the United States certifies two things to Congress: first, that Iran has been removed from the State Department’s list of nations that sponsor terrorism, and second, that Iran has ceased the pursuit, acquisition, and development of weapons of mass destruction. HOAX: ‘Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei Has Issued a Fatwa Against the Development of Nuclear Weapons’

mideast-iran-nuclear-phantom-fatwa

Why the Phantom Fatwa?

I wrote about President Obama’s March 19 statement on the Persian new yearin “Our Supreme Leader is a Supreme Fool.” In the statement Obama asserted: “Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons, and President Rouhani has said that Iran would never develop a nuclear weapon.”

It Doesn’t Exist

Obama’s assertion follows closely on Secretary of State Kerry’s assertion to the same effect. I quoted Kerry’s citation of the fatwa in “Of fatuity and fatwas.”

The fatwa, however, doesn’t exist. It has never been seen. As Andrew McCarthy explains, the fatwa is a patent hoax. Andy writes (emphasis in original): “The invaluable Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has done extensive research into compilations of Khamenei’s published fatwas…No such fatwa has ever been published.” Andy links to MEMRI’s two 2013 posts in search of the fatwa in the omitted sentence.

In a post at the Weekly Standard, Tom Joscelyn now simply asks of these gentlemen to whom the protection of our national security has been entrusted: “Produce the fatwa.” This is a perfectly reasonable request.

We heard the incessant yammering of the left about President Bush’s scrupulously accurate “16 words” in the 2003 State of the Union Address. The deal the Obama administration is about to produce with the Islamic Republic is enormously consequential. Obama and Kerry would have us believe that the fatwa they cite carries some significant weight in their case, otherwise why the repeated references to it? Yet it doesn’t exist. [VIDEO] Lebanese Female TV Host Rima Karaki Shuts Down Rude Porch-Dick ‘Islamist Scholar’ Hani Al-Seba’i on Live TV

A male Lebanese scholar was promptly shut down by a female host on a talk show after telling her bluntly to “shut up, so I can talk.”

“How can a respected sheikh like yourself tell a TV host to shut up?!”

— Host Rima Karaki

During a Mar. 2 discussion on Lebanon’s Al-Jadeed TV about Christians joining Islamic groups, Islamist scholar Hani Al-Seba’i was giving his take on the historical context when host Rima Karaki tried to ask a more specific question.

“It’s beneath me to be interviewed by you.”

— Islamist scholar Hani Al-Seba’i

He told her not to cut him off, to which she responded, “In this studio, I run the show,” according to a YouTube clip with English subtitles uploaded by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

“Just one second. Either there is mutual respect, or the conversation is over.”

— Host Rima Karaki

Al-Seba’i says he will answer the questions the way he wants to answer them and, when told that time was running out, adds: “Are you done? Shut up, so I can talk.”

“How can a respected sheikh like yourself tell a TV host to shut up?!” Karaki responds.

“It’s beneath me to be interviewed by you,” the sheikh fires back. Read the rest of this entry »

[VIDEO] ‘For the sake of Palestine and its children, allow me to burn this filthy flag of the Zionist entity for the whole world to see”

GLOBAL PANIC OF JULY 2014 TELEVISED IN JORDAN

Jordan-TV-Burn-Global-Panic

“We must demand that all Arab peoples expel them from their countries, starting with Jordan…I spit on this flag!”

For Breitbart.com,  reports: In a clip posted to YouTube by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Zoher Al-Azzeh burned the flag on Jordan’s 7 Stars TV while also calling for the US embassy in Jordan to be shut down, accusing America of using it as a “centre for spying”.

Describing the Israelis as “occupiers”, Al-Azzeh apologised to viewers for earlier having shown them graphic images of injured Palestinians, and then said: “For the sake of Palestine and its children, allow me to burn this filthy flag of the Zionist entity for the whole world to see”, before holding what appears to be an A4 paper print-off of the Israeli flag and setting light to it with a cigarette lighter…(read more)

Egyptian TV: Simpsons Episode Proof Arab Spring Was Foreign Plot

A copy of a recent report from the Egyptian channel Al Tahrir, subtitled by the Middle East Media Research Institute, a neoconservative group in Washington that monitors the news media in Muslim countries and draws attention to offensive or ridiculous remarks.

For The New York TimesRobert Mackey reports: During a recent broadcast on the Egyptian television channel Al Tahrir, the anchor Rania Badawy alerted viewers to what she called video evidence which “suggests that what is happening in Syria today was premeditated.” She then presented an 80-second clip from an episode of “The Simpsons” first broadcast in early 2001 and later dubbed into French and posted on YouTube.

After screening the animated clip — a parody of a music video that includes images of bombs being dropped on fighters in Middle Eastern dress — the anchor pointed out that the cartoon soldiers drawn in 2001 were pictured in a jeep decorated with a version of the Syrian flag that opposition protesters and rebels started waving in 2011. “The flag was created before the events took place,” Ms. Badawy asserted. “That’s why people are saying on Facebook that this is a conspiracy — in 2001, there was no such thing as the flag of the Syrian opposition.”

While the anchor called the inclusion of the flag in an episode of the cartoon a mystery — “How it reached this animated video nobody knows, and this has aroused a debate on the social networks” — she insisted that the image “raises many question marks about what happened in the Arab Spring revolutions and about when this global conspiracy began.” Read the rest of this entry »

‘Shut Up Your Mouth, Obama’: Egyptian Woman’s Rant Goes Viral It Even Has a T-Shirt

…So Viral, It Even Has a T-Shirt

For TheBlaze reports: A video in which an Egyptian woman accuses President Barack Obama of interfering in Egypt’s business, calling the U.S. president a “donkey” and exclaiming multiple times, “Shut up your mouth, Obama,” has gone viral in the Middle East, inspiring a remix, Photoshopped spoofs and even T-shirts.

In the video which appears to have been taken during a protest, the unidentified woman wearing a turquoise-colored hijab speaks both in English and Arabic.

“I’d like to convey the following message to Obama. Listen, Obama. We are Egyptian women. You are listen, Obama? Shut up your mouth, Obama. Shut up your mouth, Obama!”

she says in the video.

“Our message to you, you donkey: No matter what you do, we will not restore the ousted president [Mohammed Morsi],” she said according to a translation provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

“Al-Sisi, yes. Al-Sisi, yes. Morsi, no. Morsi, no”

…the woman chanted, referring to Egyptian Defense Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces Abdel Fattah al-Sisi who played a key role in deposing Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated President Mohammed Morsi last summer.

The audio of the woman has been remixed into a techno musical version posted on YouTube with the hilarious slug, “Shut up your mouse, Obama,” the alteration of the word “mouth” likely attributable to her mispronunciation of the sound “th,” as is often heard among non-native English speakers. Other memes online [on the hashtag #shutupyourmouseobama, of course] included a Photoshopped image of Obama seemingly watching the woman mouthing off at him and a T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan “Shut up your mouse, Obama!”
